MoS Road Transport calls on CM
Gangtok, 19 Sept [IPR]: Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping, Chemical & Fertilizers, Government of India, Mansukh Mandaviya, called on Chief Minister Pawan Chamling at his official residence in Mintokgang today.
Mr Mandaviya thanked the CM and talked about how impressed he was with the political stability, cleanliness and the organic development of the State.
He expressed hope to learn and take the good practices of Organic Farming and implement it in Gujarat and other parts of the country.
The CM suggested that a complete ban on chemical fertilizers and environmental friendly policies should be considered for every state of the country. He said these steps will help in shifting from commercial farming to organic farming practically and sensibly.
The Minister of State expressed his happiness and satisfaction and remarked that other states have a lot to learn from Sikkim. He also stated that Sikkim will receive all help and support necessary.
“We trust Sikkim because Sikkim is a trustworthy State,” he said.
The Minister of State is on a two-day visit in Sikkim and will visit pharma clusters and review NHIDCL and MoRTH works while in the State.
