Rey Valley students visit Nayuma TV

Gangtok, 20 Sept:

Students of Rey Valley International School, Gangtok, made a special field trip to Nayuma TV office and studio today as part of the school’s initiative to provide practical knowledge and exposure to students beyond their academic books.

27 students of grades I and II, accompanied by three teachers, visited the news studio, editing room, news section and the programme studio of Nayuma TV.

The students were very happy with the visit and surprised to see the process putting together the daily news telecast and various other programmes of Nayuma Television.

The students were briefed by the news reader, reporters, news editor and other staff of the News and Programme Section and provided information related to the studios, news reading and other related topics.

“Such educational tours and field trips are being arranged in regular intervals for the students and form an important part of their academic activities,” explained Namrata Thami Gurung, one of the teacher’s accompanying the group.

The students were accompanied by three teachers Shiwani Rai, Sanjee Subba and Ms Gurung.

The students expressed their happiness with the visit and thanked the entire team at Nayuma Television for their support and cooperation. They said that they have got an opportunity to learn so many things.
