Pop UpPasal, an interactive program which seeks to provide an opportunity for locals to interact with various brands and labels from all over India and give local entrepreneurs a platform to put up their work is all set to open for Gangtokians on 30 Sept at Ridge Park. The program will continue till 02 Oct.
The program has varied features like shopping, kids festival, activity centers, pet zones, grooming section for ladies and spa facilities, etc.
Chief Coordinator,Dechen Paden Saring, stated that the aim of the event is to encourage sustainable living, support the Go Green campaign and encourage use of bio degradable products.
Organiser, JuileeKurein stated that the program also focuses on children and creating new avenues of interactions with many fun activities.
Exchange of ideas between local entrepreneurs and those from cities like Delhi,Jaipur and Chandigarh has also helped the entrepreneurs here, she added.
There will be around 35-36 stalls which would also include one area for kids.These would house many entrepreneurial products from Sikkim on display for sale.
The organisers inform that Chief Minister PawanChamling will attend the inaugural function as the chief guest along with wifeTika Maya Chamling and other Ministers.
Studio Ensemble, Namchialong with Empire Creations are presenting the event.
The entry fee will beRs 100 per person for 12 years and above.
Local, regional and national brands like Echostream, Scoobo, Atrangi, Tizori,Itwari a regional brand focussing on bamboo fibres, Orbban, Edufun Kolkata, Korean Cosmetics, Vedic spoon, pet accessories, Himalayan spa,Namchi Designer Candles, Fidgety Fingers, Beautiful Earth and more would be setting up stalls in the program.
Around 30 local entrepreneurs will be present in the festival with their products.
The organizers have thanked people of the state especially entrepreneurs for their support and have added that there has been a tremendous response with organisers having to close down bookings for spaces.
Further, they have thanked Commissioner, Gangtok Municipal Corporation, Power department, Excise department and PHE department.
Organizer, PriyankaBasnet, informed that the program offers something for everyone and hopes to accommodate all sections of society.
Tickets are available at various outlets in the capital including Selvis, Buddha Bar, Loafing Around, Infinity, Birds, Beasts and Relatives and Local Cafe.
