Sikkim-BJP delegation calls on MoS

A BJP-Sikkim delegation called on Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Jaswant Singh Bhabhor, here today laid out a litany complaints against the State Government.

The Sikkim-BJP delegation was led by Schedule Tribe Morcha president NT Bhutia, and included East district president YT Lepcha, BJYM vice president Sancho Sungdyangmu, State Membership in-charge NB Nembang, West District in-charge Bhanu Pd. Sharma, BJYM East Dist president Dipendra Sharma along with BJYM South Dist president Dawa Tshering Tamang, a BJP press release informs

The delegation submitted a memorandum seeking early settlement of he LT seat reservation and inclusion of the remaining Nepali communities of Sikkim in the Schedules Tribe list.

The delegation also presented their critique on implementation of various central government schemes in Sikkim and alleged non-completion of various projects targeted for the development of tribals.

The delegation also railed against SILTAC, which was explained as a frontal organization of the ruling party, and contended that it was prone to leveling baseless allegations.

The team has condemned a recent press SILTAC statement on claiming that SDF will form the government here for the sixth consecutive term and in which it also accused the NDA government of not being serious about the Limboo and Tamang issue.

Mr Sungdyangmu said that these were all false allegations to misguide the LT community and put all the weight of failure on the Sikkim-BJP.
