SPCC condemns removal of top CBI officials by Centre

Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee has lashed out against the Central Government for removing Director, Central Bureau of Investigation [CBI], Alok Verma and CBI Special Director, Rakesh Asthana. The party has alleged that the Narendra Modi government has failed to be answerable to the people of the country on the Rafale deal so it suddenly sent two top officials of CBI on leave overnight.

Addressing a press conference here today, SPCC president, Bharat Basnet, stated that the Centre is still silent on the Rafale deal and on some other issues as well. He stated that these CBI officials were removed for investigating the Rafale deal.

He further addedthat people of the country have been suffering due to many decisions of the Central Government. SPCC strongly condemns and protests the decision of the Central Government and people of the country should come forward to save democracy, he said.
