SICPA workers along with SKM approach Labour Dept with grievances

Sikkim Krantikari Majdur Morcha, the SKM’s labour front, representatives accompanied by SKMM general secretary, Prem Raj Gurung, and workers of SICPA Private Limited, Rangpo, submitted grievances against SICPA in written to the Labour Department today.
An SKM press release informs that Joint Labour Commissioner conducted a hearing with SICPA workers and SICPA company HR Executive, N Basu, wherein SICPA workers placed various demands with regard to provision of increment on their basic salary as per labour laws, skill development training for on-job experience, provision of House Rent Allowances [HRA], proper transport facilities, separate toilets for male and female workers and changing rooms for female workers.
The hearing concluded with the workers, company HR and Joint Labour Commissioner jointly signing the undertaking letter.
Further, SICPA management has been directed to solve and settle the workers’ issues by 30 Nov, the release adds.
