NEEV essay competition winners announced

Gangtok, 26 Nov:

Wandering Souls of Sikkim, a webzine and youth forum, has announced the results of the Inter School Essay Writing Competition was held as a part of its scholastic festival ‘NEEV: A Foundation for Better Future’ at Pakyong, East Sikkim on 03 Nov.

A press release informs that students were asked to write essays on any Sikkimese festival of their choice. The competition was divided into two categories viz. Secondary Level (Class 9-10) & Senior Secondary Level (Class 11-12).

Essay Papers were evaluated on the basis of Language, Content & Neatness by Bibhushan Dhungyal [Assistant Controller of Exams, Sikkim Manipal University & Lecturer, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences].

Prajambika Sharma from Sudunglakha School & Anisha Chettri from Aho Kisan School were adjudged winner and runner up respectively in the secondary level competition; whereas, Anupama Upreti from Mamring School & Anjali Chettri from Namcheybong School were adjudged winner and runner up in the senior secondary level.

Wandering Souls of Sikkim has congratulated all the winners and added that it shall continue to organise more such events in the days to come to provide a platform for the young minds in the villages of Sikkim.
