NIFAA Sikkim State to participate in Tripura Harmony 2018

Gangtok, 26 Nov:

Members of National Integrated Forum of Artist and Activists [NIFAA] Sikkim State held a meeting at Namthang, South Sikkim to confirm the participation of the cultural team from Sikkim at Tripura Harmony 2018, informs a press release.

The Sikkim Team will be led by president, NIFAA Sikkim, Praveen Pradhan. Thirty members of NIFAA will be participating in the big cultural extravaganza. The theme of the event is Tribal State of India and organised by NIFAA Tripura State.

The meeting was chaired by chief advisor, NIFAA Sikkim, Bikash Pradhan, and attended by executive members. Mr Pradhan said that this is the first event that NIFAA Sikkim State is participating in.

The Harmony 2018 will be held from 21 – 29 Dec at Agartala, Tripura. All the Indian States and Union Territories along with participants from 22 countries will be attending the event, added Mr Pradhan.

The participants of the cultural events are from SDSA [Namchi], Ben [South Sikkim] and Inspire Academy [Gangtok]. Sikkim’s cultural team will have five colourful tribal dances, said Sushma Chettri [cultural secretary, NIFAA Sikkim State]. The Sikkim team shall also exhibit photography, crafts and pickles.
