Don’t copy our programmes, SDF says to SKM
Gangtok, 03 Dec:
Sikkim Democratic Front has accused Sikkim Krantikari Morcha of copying its policies and programmes and has asked the party to come up with its own programmes for a change.
The party has asserted that SKM should clearly place its own policies and programmes to the people of Sikkim.
The ruling party has strongly criticised SKM president PS Tamang [Golay] for imitating socially just, progressive and developmental policies of the SDF party and announcing these plans and programmes in exaggerated manner to deceive and mislead the people.
An SDF press release issued by its general secretary, Krishna Kharel states that the SKM president is just building on SDF’s progressive and developmental policies and announcing them to the public in his Parivartan Sankalp Yatra.
SDF’s programmes have been developed after a lot of scientific analysis to determine what the people of the State need, the release adds.
The party further alleges that Mr Tamang is making offhand statements just to please the audience. SDF has stressed that SKM should come up with constructive policies and programmes better than SDF’s if it is serious about politics.
Making accusations of corruption against the State Government when Mr Tamang himself has been convicted in a corruption case is just to paint himself clean, the release mentions.
