BJP outreach prog surveys implementation of central schemes, finds State Govt wanting

Gangtok, 05 Dec:

Bharatiya Janata Party’s East District committee has been carrying out a door-to-door campaign in different constituencies.

On the directions of the national committee of the party, the Sikkim unit has been reaching out to the people to see how the 126 “pro-people” programmes of the Central government have been implemented in the State, informs a BJP press release.

The release adds that the party has been getting enough instances of the State Government’s lethargy in implementing these programmes and even found that names of these welfare programmes have been changed and given to supporters of MLAs and SDF panchayats.

The release adds that the BJP workers have weathered through threats from SDF MLAs and panchayats to give continuity to its outreach programme.

The release further informs that several people and businessmen of Singtam bazaar officially joined BJP in the presence of BJP East District president, YT Lepcha, and East District mahamantri, DR Khatiwada, today.
