NCBE Sikkim unit to hold first State conference


GANGTOK, 13 DEC:

Sikkim Unit of National Confederation of Bank Employees is all set to organise its first ever State Conference here in the capital. The conference is slated to be held on 16 Dec at Hotel Summit Denzong, Kazi road, Gangtok.

Addressing the media today here at the Press Club of Sikkim, vice president for State Bank of India (SBI), Staff Association (Bengal circle), Rajesh Chandra Pradhan, said that the conference shall address wage negotiation of banking employees and banking facility for rural families.

The National Conference of Bank Employees (NCB) has come up with this idea of holding a state conference in Sikkim for the benefit of all banking employees here, he said.

This is the first time that such a conference is being organized in Sikkim, Mr Pradhan said further adding that Gangtok MLA, Pintso Chopel Lepcha will be the chief guest of the conference.

Sandeep K Bandalish [Convenor, United Forum of Bank Unions], S P Behera [President, SBI Staff Associations, 8 Circle], Rajesh Tripathi [Chief Secretary, SBI Staff Association, 8 Circle], along with host of other leaders from NCBE and State Bank of India Staff Association will be attending the conference, it was informed.

The press meet was also attended by regional secretary, SBI Staff Association, Passang Tamang, from Sikkim and assistant secretary, Pravin Rai, Gangtok branch.
