Grade ‘D’ job to 3 from each constituency in multi-speciality hospital: CM



Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, on Tuesday, announced that the multi-speciality hospital at Sokeythang will be inaugurated on 15 Jan and a 20,000 youth will be given appointment letters under ‘One Family One Job’ scheme in a grand Rojgar Mela to be held in first week of Jan.

Mr Chamling made the announcements while addressing a district-level coordination meeting of Sikkim Democratic Front for East District here at the party headquarters at Bye Pass Road on Tuesday, as per a press release from the party.

It may be mentioned that earlier, the hospital was scheduled to be inaugurated on 28 Dec and fully functional by January next year.

Mr Chamling also announced that Janta Mela will be starting from 16 Jan. On the same, he mentioned that the State Government will provide benefit to every household of the State through Janta Mela.

He further informed that Sokeythang Hospital will offer treatment for cancer and all other diseases and free dialysis facility will be provided to patients with kidney related ailments.

He mentioned that the government has been working hard to make Sokeythang hospital the biggest and best government hospital in the country after AIIMS New Delhi. He informed that the foundation of the medical college will be laid in this hospital in February, which will provide free medical education to Sikkimese youth.

On the occasion, Mr. Chamling also announced that grade ‘D’ job will be provided to at least three youths from each constituency in this hospital. He mentioned that the government will be providing assistance to priests, monks, pastor-elder, maulvis to buy religious clothing during upcoming Janta Mela.

He informed that site of 30X40 at urban areas and site of 40X60 at rural areas will be provided to land beneficiaries and lands from the government sites will be provided for graveyards to needy community.

The SDF president urged party workers to take the upcoming election very seriously for the people of Sikkim.

“The upcoming election is more important for the people of Sikkim than me as the government will be formed by the mandate of the people,” he said.

He added that if the corrupt and criminals come to power then they will destroy the future of the youth and Sikkimese in general.

Mr. Chamling informed that budgetary provisions have been made by the government to constitute welfare boards for students and retired employees.

The release informs that CLC presidents presented the report of their respective constituencies during the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Zilla and Gram panchayats, office bearers of youth and Cheli front, ward and block level committees of the party, president and members of constituency level committees of East District along with SDF MLAs of East District and in-charge and members of district level committee.
