RCB picks up Sikkim team’s Milind Kumar for IPL season 2019
Gangtok, 19 Dec:
Milind Kumar, a right-hand batsman and an occasional off-break bowler, who played for Delhi in the domestic circuit until he was transferred to Sikkim for the current Ranji Trophy season, has been picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore for IPL12 at his base price of Rs 20 lakh.
Earlier, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils for IPL Season 7 for Rs 10 lakh.
On the opening day of Ranji Trophy this year, he scored a double-century (261 runs) for Sikkim against Manipur. In his next match, he also scored another double-century (224 runs) against Nagaland. In the following match, he followed that up with a century, making 133 runs.
On 14 Dec 2018, in round six of the Ranji Trophy, he scored his 1,000th run of the tournament.
