On the eve of Christmas, the members of Council of Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Sikkim [EPCS] called upon Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling at his official residence, Mingtokgang, a press release informs.
The newly elected office bearers of the Council of Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Sikkim who were elected for the term of three years were introduced to the Chief Minister.
The new body has Rev. T. Targain of EPCS Vok, South Sikkim as Moderator, Rev. Yozan Sherpa of EPCS Dentam, West Sikkim as Deputy Moderator, Pemba Lepcha of EPCS Gangtok, East Sikkim as General Secretary and Lawrence Lepcha of EPCS Gangtok, East Sikkim as treasurer.
On the occasion, the General Secretary read out a letter of gratitude before the CM for his unceasing support towards the members of EPCS and the Christian Community for the last 24 years and for his able governance. The new committee members placed few grievances before the CM who assured to look into the matter and fulfil it accordingly at the earliest.
The Chief Minister assured the community of his continued support in the days to come, the release mentions.
A Christmas cake was offered with prayers by senior most pastor Rev. P.S.Tingbo to the CM. The meeting concluded with the final prayer for the CM and benediction by Rev. Targain, Moderator CEPCS.
