SDF’s Youth Connect party office dedicated to the young

Sikkim Democratic Front opened a specialised party office, ‘Youth Connect,’ here at Sonam Gyatso Marg today. The party office was inaugurated in the presence of a huge gathering of youth.
In his address, SDF vice-president Incharge [East District], DB Thapa, dedicated the party office to the youth of the State and called on them to come together and take the responsibility of Sikkim and support the vision and work of Chief Minister Pawan Chamling to make Sikkim the Best State of the world.
He stressed that Sikkim has become exemplary in different sectors and was the Best State in the country under the leadership of the CM.
Mr Thapa stressed upon the need of taking collective responsibility to maintain Sikkim and sustain development here.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Gangtok MLA, Pintso Chopel Lepcha, stated that the new party office was for Gangtok and its surrounding areas.
He added that this party office, operating on the theme ‘Youth Connect,’ was dedicated to the youth, offering a platform to them to come together and hold brainstorming sessions for the betterment of Sikkim.
Mr Lepcha stated that Sikkim has witnessed overall development in all sectors in the 25 years of SDF government and highlighted that the State government has been working for the youth of Sikkim with single-minded dedication.
The Gangtok MLA further alleged that other parties in the State are being funded by the people from outside and if such parties formed the government here, Sikkim would be run by people from outside.
He asserted that Sikkim needs the right leadership.
He added that at present Sikkim, was in its golden era under the leadership of the CM Pawan Chamling.
On the same, he added that everyone needs to come together to save Sikkim from falling into the wrong hands.
Likewise, Arithang Area MLA, Shyam Pradhan stated that seven MLAs of SKM party joined SDF due to failure of leadership in SKM party.
On the same, he added that almost all supporters of SKM had joined the ruling SDF party within one year of the elections.
