GANGTOK, 18 Jan:
A seven-member delegation of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha called on the Governor Ganga Prasad here at Raj Bhawan on Friday and submitted a memorandum on different issues of the State.
The delegation, which was led by the party president PS Tamang [Golay], included SKM MLAs Kunga Nima Lepcha and Sonam Lama, working president MP Subba, senior vice-president TN Dhakal, secretary general Arun Uprety and vice-president [frontal organisation], Nakul Das Rai.
An SKM press release informed that the memorandum has included issues of rampant corruption, seat reservation for Limboo and Tamang in the State Assembly, tribal status for eleven left out communities, rights of the government employees and other issues.
The release adds that the Governor assured the delegation to take up all issues seriously.
