Tales of Transformation collects first-person accounts of CMMSS recipients

GANGTOK, 23 JAN: Tales of Transformation, a compilation of articles by the recipients of Chief Minister’s Merit Scholarship Scheme (CMMSS) was released by Chief Minister Pawan Chamling on 21 Jan, 2018 during the inauguration ceremony of NE Youth Festival, 2019 at Dentam, West Sikkim. The book, published by Wandering Souls of Sikkim, comprises of 20 articles contributed by CMMSS recipients narrating their tales of transformations after being selected under the scheme. WSOS Co- Founder, Pranay Khatiwara, has compiled and edited the articles. CMMSS is a scheme envisioned by the Chief Minister to provide an opportunity to meritorious local students to study at reputed boarding schools upon completing their primary schooling from government schools and clearing a competitive exam. “These articles are an expression of happiness and joys shared by the meritorious students and are a testimony of how a scheme conceived with a noble vision can transform dreams into reality. Wandering Souls of Sikkim is pleased to bring forth these stories. We have published twenty articles in this edition. It will be our endeavour to bring out more in the future,” WSOS conveys. WSOS has also expressed gratitude towards all students who contributed articles, Raju Basnet for writing the foreword and to all others who supported it during the publication of the book. “We are highly grateful towards the Chief Minister for sharing his blessings as a message to the book and for releasing it, thereby adding to the legitimacy of our humble initiative,” WSOS adds.
