WSOS takes Neev to Rongli

Rongli, 11 FEB:

Wandering Souls of Sikkim, a webzine and youth forum, organized an interschool scholastic festival titled, “Neev: A Foundation for Better Future”, at Rongli Community Centre on 09 Feb with the objective to provide a platform to students studying at schools in and around Rongli to foster their creative genius.

The event was supported by the Regu Block Administrative Centre and coordinated by Bering Sudunglakha Zilla Panchayat, Madhu Sharma.

More than 120 students from 16 schools participated in eight scholastic competitions, including quiz, essay writing, painting, poetry recitals, elocution, etc.

Various competitions were judged by SDM Rongli, AB Gurung, Sikkim University Assistant Professor, Binod Bhattarai, Assistant Professor Prayash Gupta, Sikkim Manipal University and respected author, Yuwa Baral ‘Anant’.

The daylong event was attended by the Chujachen MLA, Bikram Pradhan, as chief guest along with Sub Divisional officials from different departments, NGO representatives, Zilla and Gram Panchayats, teachers, students and others.

WSOS has conveyed gratitude towards all guests, sponsors, participating schools, participants, judges and all others who supported the initiative.
