Chief Minister, PawanChamling today said that One Family One Job (OFOJ)will be an ongoing process which will continue in future as well. He was speaking during the inauguration of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPCS) today at PNG Complex, Gangtok.
With 8000 candidates to be appointed under the scheme in the second phase, almost 99% of households in the State will now have atleast one government employee, said the CM.
Dedicating the church to members of the Christian community, Mr Chamling said that the Christian community should realize that there is complete protection of their identity as a minority community; and they have been treated with respect and honour that they so rightly deserve.
He added that Sikkim is the only State where religious institutions are constructed with the help of financial aid from the Government.
The CM went on to highlight the progress made by the State in the last two and a half decades, and also urged the Pastors and Elders to sensitize the youth regarding the educational facilities provided by the State Government.
It may be mentioned that the foundation stone of the church had been laid on 03 Oct, 2013.
