Mingyor Dichen Letroling Charitable Trust organizes free medical camp in Gyalshing
Gangtok, 27 Mar:
The Mingyor Dichen Letroling Charitable Trust organized a daylong free health camp at Gyalshing, today.
The camp was conducted by a team of doctors and a technical team from USA and Dharmashala.
The health camp was organized at the Ayush Hospital here and was attended by people from and around Gyalshing and covered all age-groups.
The Trust has been organizing such medical camps at various location throughout the state.
Udai Gurung, treasurer of the trust, informs that such camps form part of the Trust’s efforts to generate awareness about various diseases and inspire people towards healthier lifestyles.
He further shared that perhaps due to lack of adequate sensitization, a substantial number of people attended to by doctors at the medical camp were found suffering from diabetics, tuberculosis, cancer, blood pressure, kidney complications etc.
To sensitize people about various diseases and make them live disease-free lives, the trust is in constant contact with doctors from USA and Dharamsala to conduct such camps, it is informed.
Dr Diki Nima, Tshering Dolma and Kalsang Donka conducted the health checkups.
People from Tikzuk, Kyongsa, Gyalshing, Legship, Peling, Darap and some other places took advantage of the camp and got their medical checkup done.
Along with medical consultation and health checkup, free medicines were also provided to all.
