Government Senior Secondary School Mamring, East Sikkim, organised a farewell program for the outgoing Class XII students in the school premises today, a press release informs.
Principal,Prahlad Sharma along with Vice Principal of the school offered traditional scarves to all the class XII students of 2018-2019 batch. He wished them luck for a bright future ahead.
The Principal advised the students not to fall prey to fake advertisements of different educational companies and universities for admissions. He advised them to consult HRDD and Social Welfare department regarding scholarships.
Failing in exams does not mean that the student has failed in his life, the result is just a report of his preparation and dedication of time and energy in that particular exam, said Mr Sharma. Students should always be positive and look for options and opportunities, he added.
He also said that school is always ready to give all possible support to them. Different colourful cultural items were presented by the students.
Ex-School Captain, Nawaraj Bastola also spoke about his journey in the school and encouraged the students to study well. He also urged his fellow batch mates to contribute something for the school as a tribute.
