Gangtok, 16 May: The members of Manav Uthan Sewa Samiti (MUSS), Gangtok Branch distributed nutritious diet to the children undergoing treatment in the Pediatric Ward of new STNM Hospital at Sochyekgang today. This was done as part of the golden jubilee celebration of Manav Dharma in Sikkim, Darjeeling, Terai, Dooars and neighbouring country of Bhutan, a press release informs.

The members led by Tehsil Incharge, Sadhvi Mahatma Gyan Baiji handed over nutritious diet to the ailing children and Hansh Herbal products to the parents of the children undergoing treatment.

The team was also accompanied by MUSS Mangan Tehsil Incharge, Mahatma Vishraanti Baiji and Rangpo Tehsil Incharge, Mahatma Kritika Baiji. Mahatma Gyan Baiji in her brief address said that bodily ailments can be healed through dedicated assistance from the doctors and nurses at the hospital but for curing the illness arising from mental status, we should take the help of spirituality. Stress, tension and negativity gives way to physical illness, hence we need to make spirituality a way of life in order to protect ourselves from such illness, she said.

On the other hand, youth and Sewa Dal members of MUSS carried out massive cleanliness drive around old STNM Hospital and MLA Hostel premises. The complex lacked proper care and cleanliness after the hospital was shifted to Sochyekgang. Huge piles of garbage were found in the premises, the release states.
