C Division Sikkim League kicks off
Gangtok, 20 May:
The C-Division Sikkim League organised by Sikkim Football Association (SFA) kicked off here at Paljor Stadium today. A total of 12 teams are taking part in the league.
The inaugural match was played between Red Panda FC of Namchi and Manik FC of Dzongu and ended 03-02 in favor of the former team.
RPFC’s Kunzaman Thapa scored three goals for the team while for Manik FC, Rapgay and Sonam Lepcha, scored a goal each.
The second match of the day was played between Mustang FC, Sang, and JVC-Singtam ended in a goal-less draw.
A two-minute silence was observed in the memory of SFA member, the late Bonamit Dong of the women’s wing. Secretary, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, RK Tamang, was present as the chief guest for the inaugural function.
