One-day entrepreneurship workshop and Bootcamp was organized by AIC-SMUTBIF at ICFAI University Sikkim, Gangtok. Resource person, Dr Bikash Sharma (Program Lead, AIC-SMUTBI) introduced the audience to the state-of-the-art incubation centre which is scheduled for its inauguration around mid-June.
Being the state's first incubation centre, it not only aims to serve the aspiring entrepreneurs of Sikkim but the entire North East. Dr Bikash talked to the students about the facilities at the incubation centre and also highlighted the fact that it is one of the 31 incubators set up under Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog across the country currently.
With world class network of mentors and investors, the incubator aims at delivering awareness about the opportunities for anyone who would be motivated in becoming a job provider rather than a job seeker.
Another resource person, Sumit Thakur [CEO, Untapped Technologies] engaged the students in an interactive session discussing about the challenges and prospects of entrepreneurship. The students actively participated in the discussion and expressed their views on the startup ecosystem in the state.
Prof (Dr) Tejbanta S Chingtham [CEO, AIC- SMUTBIF], in his message invited and encouraged everyone to make the best use of the available facilities and be a valuable resource to the nation.
AIC-SMUTBI is based at SMIT, Majitar boasting of world-class facilities awaiting its inauguration. It will be holding the prelims of the Entrepreneurship World Cup in the month of June 2019.
