Sanju FA tops Group-A; NDFA and Brotherhood FC play out a draw

Gangtok, 06 Jun:

Sanju Football Academy, Sombaria, finished its league round of the Sikkim Football Association C-Division Sikkim League topping Group A. On Wednesday, playing its last league match, Sanju FA edged past Sumin Football Club 2–1 to finish the group as toppers with 13 points. With this, the team has secured a berth in the final match for the champion’s title of C Division Sikkim League 2019.

Ingsha Subba and Tseten Bhutia contributed a goal each for Sanju FA while the lone goal for Sumin FC was scored by Yuvraj Gurung.

Sanju FA will take on the topper of Group-B in the final match of the league scheduled for 11 June.

Sanju FA was founded by Indian International Sanju Pradhan at his hometown, Sombaria, in West Sikkim.   

Meanwhile, also on Wedneday, North District Football Association and Brotherhood Football Club played out a 2–2 draw and shared one point each.
