A thanks giving programme of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha party for Rangang-Yangang constituency was held at Helipad ground in South Sikkim on Monday. The programme had Speaker, LB Das as the chief guest.
An SKM press release informs that the Speaker visited the 85 years old Karungthang School in Rangang-Yangang constituency before the programme. During the visit, the headmaster of the school stated that the school building was in deplorable condition and has been lacking proper infrastructure, drinking water, power supply and other facilities. In response, the Speaker assured to place all grievances and issues to the concerned department.
The release informs that the thanks giving programme was also attended by Ministers, SanjitKharel and Karma Loday Bhutia, MLA BishnuKhatiwada and other senior leaders and workers of the party and local gentries.
In his address, Minister SanjeetKharel stated that the government would provide more opportunities to needy and educated youth. He urged the people to give some time to make Sikkim better in line with the hopes and aspirations of the people.
Likewise, Minister Karma Loday Bhutia expressed his confidence that SKM will win all seats in the upcoming by-elections in the State. He stated that the party workers should provide development in the constituency without any partiality. He assured that the SKM government would work for all constituencies equally.
The release informs that the meeting was also addressed by Rangang-Yangang SKM candidate in the recent elections, RK Basnet, Confidential Assistant to the CM, BikashBasnet and Rhenock MLA, BishnuKhatiwada.
