GATC to rock Nepal this weekend
GANGTOK, 05 Jul:
Girish and The Chronicles are currently touring Nepal performing at various locations. The band will be performing at Lord of The Drinks in Thamel on 06 July, which will be followed by a trip to Pokhara to perform at AURA bar and lounge on 07 July.
It is informed that the tour organisers are in talks with the band for a possible third performance.
A press release mentions that the frontman of the band, Girish is visiting the place after more than 10 years.
“About 10 years ago Girish used to roam the streets of Thamel with his band Revolving Barrel and occasionally jam with his brothers from Cobweb, Strings and many other musician friends from the prominent bands in clubs and bars. During his year-long stay in the capital, he made friends with a lot of musicians from the scene,” the release informs.
Girish recalls, “I used to live in Kathmandu and perform at some of the venues out there during the years 2008 and 2009, where I began my real journey as a musician. Thamel used to be a Rock ‘n Roll paradise with every venue hosting awesome bands and a crazy crowd all over the place. Such beautiful memories I have! I’m really excited to visit the place with GATC this time. We often receive messages from fans out there, appreciating our music and asking us, as to when we would visit the place. I guess it’s finally happening!“, said the frontman.
The band will be performing their singles and songs from their first album, including their latest single, “Rock the Highway”. They are also known to belt out some classics of the ‘70s and ‘80s era, which might be in the list.
Girish and The Chronicles is an Indian Hard rock/Melodic Rock/Heavy Metal band from Gangtok, Sikkim, formed in 2009, by vocalist Girish Pradhan.
