Highlight need for NET exam centre in Sikkim

Lok Sabha MP, Indra Hang Subba and Vice-Chancellor of Sikkim Central University, Prof Avinash Khare, called on the Chairperson of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Prof DP Singh at his office in New Delhi today, an SKM press release informs.
They apprised him regarding need of CSIR UGC NET examination centre in Sikkim and added that establishment of CSIR UGC NET Centre would benefit not only Sikkim but neighbouring regions as well.
They also requested the Chairman to enlist Bhutia, Lepcha and Limboo languages in the list of subjects for CBSE, UGC NET examination. Finally they apprised him regarding pending work of construction of permanent campus at Yangang and the need of one-time grant for construction of permanent campus.
