The league round of the ongoing Sikkim Football Association U-17 Football League 2019 ended here at Paljor Stadium on Wednesday. In its last league match, Sikkim Boys thrashed Howler’s Football Club, Singtam 10–01 to get full three points.
Suraj Limboo scored five goals for Sikkim Boys, while his teammates AbinasRai scored a hattrick and Karan Tamang and Amar Tamang contributed a goal each in the team’s victory. The face-saver for Howler’s FC was scored by Kriten Pradhan.
At the end of the league round, the State Sports Academy stood on the top in Group A with 12 points from all four wins and Dzongu Football Club on the second position with 7 points from 2 victories, 1 loss and 1 draw. Likewise, Gangtok FC is on third position with 4 points while JVC FC, Singtam and Melli FC secured 2 points each.
In Group B, Sikkim Boys finished the league round on the top with 12 points from all four wins and New Light Academy, Namchi stood on the second position with 07 points. Likewise, Howler’s FC, Singtam on third with 7 points and Chujachen FA and Namthang FA got 3 points each.
Now, the State Sports Academy will take on New Light Academy, Namchi in the first semi-final match on 19 Jul, 2019 at 12:00noon, while the second semi-final will be played between Sikkim Boys and Dzongu FC at 2:00pm. The final match will be played on 20 Jul, 2019 at 1:30pm.
