Sikkim girl bags 13 medals at Uttarakhand Shooting C’ship

Sikkim’s shooting talent Devanshi Agarwal bagged a rich haul of thirteen medals forEcole Global International Girls’ School, Dehradun in the 18th Uttarakhand Open State Level Shooting Championship, a press release informs.
The championship was held at Jaspal Rana Shooting Range, Dehradun, from 25 to 31 August. Her medal tally included two gold, six silver and five bronze medals. She was declared the highest individual medalist of the school.
TussitaRai, another Sikkimese girl at the same school went on to bag three gold, silver and a bronze; a total of 5 medals. Sanket Agarwal, father of Devanshi Agarwal at Singtam, has praised the efforts of the school for making a big impact at the event.
The participating students of Ecole went on to grab 98 medals in 22 events they had participated. The proud father added that he is pleased with her daughter’s effort and congratulated HOD, Lal Dogra,Sports and Shooting Coach, Ecole Global International Girls’ School for his enthusiasm and motivation towards the shooting team. Distinguished guests present at the event included Jagdeep Singh, Director, Sports Department, Haryana, Mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, Vice President,Sushma Singh, Indian Rifle Association and Narayan Singh Rana of the State Rifle Association, the release mentions.
