Bharatiya Janta Party convened a preparatory meeting here today in preparation for the weeklong Sewa Saptaha drive of the party.
The meeting, held at the BJP head office at Golitar was chaired by Avinash Rai Khanna, the National BJP vice president, Sudip Pradhan, Coordinator for the Sewa Saptaha Sikkim, GD Agrawal, Bharat Dulal and Sikkim State BJP vice-president SB Karki.
The initiative, it is informed, will be focusing on blood donation camps, medical checkup camps, eye camps and operation, reaching aid to old age homes and orphanages and hospitals.
It was also informed at the meeting that BJP’s national leaders like Amit Shah and Ram Kumar Madhav are expected to visit Sikkim although the dates have not been finalized yet.
