SHSC downs Kumar Sporting 2-1 in Sikkim Premier League

Gangtok, 11 Sept:

Sikkim Himalayan Sporting Club downed Kumar Sporting Football Club in a very contesting match played on Wednesday at the ongoing Sikkim Football Association Premier Division Sikkim League 2019 here at Paljor Stadium.

Sikkim Himalayan SC won the match 2-1 to earn three points from another victory in the league.

Being a vital match, both teams pursued an attacking game right from the starting whistle.

Eventually, Musa broke the deadlock when he converted a cross and earned the lead for SHSC in the 25th minute. In return, Kumar Sporting FC players made some very good attacks but could not find the net.

While Kumar Sporting FC players were sweating out hard in the second half to bounce back into the match, Sonam Zangpo extended the lead to 2-0 in the 77th minute.

The Kumar Sporting FC squad played its heart out but missed the net on different occasion until Birbal Rai won some consolation for the team in the injury time of the match but this was too late for them to stop Sikkim Himalayan SC from registering a 2-1 victory.

It is informed that following a one year ban imposed on Sikkim Aakraman Football Club by SFA, there will be no match on Thursday and the full three points and three goals awarded to its scheduled opponent State Sports Academy.
