CM visits Gyalchen Karma Thrinlay Monastery in Arunachal

Itanagar, 03 Dec [IPR]:  On the final day of his two-day tour of Arunachal Pradesh, Chief Minister PS Tamang [Golay], visited Gyalchen Karma Thrinlay Monastery at Bishum Phodong where he was accorded a warm welcome in traditional manner and entertained to a rich cultural and religious presentation.

Dirang MLA, Phurba Tshering, Bomdila MLA, Dongru Siongju, DCs of Bomdila and Dirang along with a large number of locals were present to welcome the Chief Minister.

The Dirang MLA conveyed the message of the Arunachal CM for the occasion and expressed gratitude towards Mr Tamang for his visit to Bishom Phodong.

He also made special mention of Sikkim being an exemplary State of the North East and remarked at its peace and tranquillity.

The Chief Minister was all praises for the Arunachal Government and its Chief Minister for according him such a warm reception and welcoming him to their beautiful state.

He said that this was his first visit to Arunachal Pradesh and that he was very pleased and happy to visit this beautiful state which has similar culture, traditions and unity in diversity like Sikkim,

Mr Tamang made special mention for the kind of welcome he received and said that Arunachal replicates Atithi devo bhava in its attitude.

He stated that he was very impressed with the kind of development Arunachal Pradesh has achieved in the field of sports and skill development and also mentioned the progress made by Arunachal Pradesh in the field of Hydel generation and said that the two states could work together especially in tourism and Hydel sectors.

He expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards Union Minister Kiran Rijjuji who hails from Arunachal Pradesh for doing his best to see the 17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje visit Sikkim.

He also thanked Passang Tshering Rimpoche for the kindness showered on the delegation from Sikkim.
