IAS coaching network opens centre in Sikkim 75 IAS ASPIRANTS SELECTED UNDER CM’S CIVIL SERVICES COAC
Gangtok, 10 Dec [IPR]: The Alternate Learning Systems-IAS (India's Largest IAS Coaching Network), in association with the Government of Sikkim through Education Department launched its 86th Centre in Gangtok today.
The training centre was inaugurated at Nar Bahadur Bhandari College by Education Minister Kunga Nima Lepcha in the presence of Additional CS GP Upadhyaya, Director [Higher Education] Suchitra Rasaily, Director [School Education], Hondala Gyaltsen, Director [SCERT] Dr Rabin Chhetri, State Project Director [Samagra Shiksha] & Director [Primary Education] Bhim Thatal, District Magistrate [East] Raj Yadav, Vice Chancellor [Sikkim State University], Dr GK Niraula, Principal [Nar Bahadur Bhandari College] Dr Bina Pradhan, Joint Secretary [Higher Education] Shubha Mukhia, National Sales Head Prateek Bhattacharya and the officials from the ASL-IAS.
Education Minister, Additional Chief Secretary, and DM East addressed the occasion which was also attended by 75 IAS aspirants selected under the Chief Minister's Civil Services Coaching Scheme.
The ALS expressed thanks to the Govt of Sikkim and Chief Minister for this path-breaking initiative and hoped to produce results in UPSC in the coming years for the State of Sikkim.
Although there are 75 seats at present, those who could not get admission in the 75 ranks, the next 50 in line can also apply on payment of Rs 70,800 as 75% of the entire fee as all together 150 candidates can be accommodated in the 18-month course.
National Sales Head Prateek Bhattacharya on behalf of ALS Satellite Education Pvt Ltd and Additional Chief Secretary Mr Upadhyaya on behalf of Govt of Sikkim further signed a two-year MoU for sponsorship of IAS aspirants under the Chief Minister's Civil Services Coaching Scheme today.
