CM’s Gold Cup to begin 05 Jan


Namchi, 18 Dec:

South District Football Association introduced its new executive body at a press conference held here today. Arjun Rai, the new SDFA president, also announced that the 9th All India Chief Minister’s Gold Cup International Football Tournament will be held from 05 to 19 Jan, 2020. The last time that this tournament was organized was in the year 2014.

Teams from across the country and some from Nepal and Bhutan are expected to participate.

The organizers add that they plan to lift the tournament to “international tier 2 level” this time.

The winning team will take home Rs 3 lakh with the runners-up receiving Rs 02 lakh.

The new executive committee was elected under the guidance of SFA and the Sports Authority of South District on the directions of the Chief Minister, SDFA informs.
