Three female AMAS runners clinch medals in Kolkata Marathon

Three female runners of the newly formed Amarathon Academy of Sikkim [AMAS] won medals in the

IDBI Federal Life Insurance Kolkata Marathon on 02 Feb.

Tshering Lhamu Bhutia was placed second in the 35-45 years category, Sonia Rai stood second in the 18-34 years category and Samikcha Rai came third in the 18-34 years category, a press release from AMAS informs.

The release mentions that all runners of the academy performed well in the marathon and expressed hope that they will perform better in the next edition of the Kolkata Marathon.

AMAS has thanked DC West, Lhendup Bhutia and entrepreneur, Dil Hang Limboofor their support.

The AMAS contingent comprised of Amar Subba[42k], Kessangla Bhutia [42k], Shiva Hang Limboo[42k], Buddha SinghSubba[42k], KulbirThapa[42k], JatinChettri[42k], UdaySubba[42k], Gourav Lama [42k], TsheringLhamu Bhutia [42k], Sonia Rai[42k], SamikchaRai[42k], NeahaRai[21k], Lhamu Sherpa [21k], PromodRai[21k], Chung Ching Bhutia [21k], SonamGyatso Sherpa [10k], PrasantMolay[10k], Darshan Lama [21k] and Sanjay Kumar Subba[42k].
