A talk on patenting and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organized at SRM University Sikkim on 12 Feb, a press release informs.
The lecture was delivered by IPR consultant, registered patent agent and attorney based in Hyderabad, Ravi S. Speaking to both research scholars as well as members of the faculty, the resource person informed the audience about the importance of patenting and the various legal aspects of Intellectual Property Rights which are crucial for all researchers.
On the occasion, the VC, Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar announced that SRM University Sikkim is officially recognized as the IPR Cell by the Department of Science and Technology and Climate Change, Sikkim, for promoting IPR in the region.
“IPR and patenting are vital aspects of law, which every researcher should be aware of. This lecture will go a long way in creating awareness of this. It gives us great satisfaction that after a great deal of effort, we have organized this lecture which will benefit everyone,” said the Vice Chancellor.
