Inauguration ceremony of Hindi Pakhwada-2020 is organised at National Research Centre for Orchids, Pakyong, Sikkim on 01 Sept, 2020 under the chairmanship of Director (Acting), Dr Rampal, ICAR-NRC for Orchids, Pakyong, Sikkim. All the dignitaries encouraged the audience to use Hindi language more and more in day to day official work. They also explained the importance of Hindi as Raj Bhasha. Various competitions such as poetry recitation, dictation on administrative terminology, Google Hindi typing, noting, Hindi translation, essay writing, letter writing, Hindi writing, quiz and competition along with Google Hindi typing and voice typing workshop were organized and managed by Hindi In-Charge, Ankur Tomar, Technical Assistant, (Computer), National Orchids Research Center, Pakyong. Many scientists, officers, Research fellows, and all contractual staff took actively participated in Hindi Pakhwada programs. The closing ceremony was held on 14 Sept, 2020. On the day, all the winning participants were rewarded with certificates along with the prize money and Hindi Pakhwada was successfully concluded. The top three officials of the institute who had contributed maximum working in Hindi during the year 2019–20 were awarded with a certificate and prize money.
