Sikkim Limboo-Tamang Tribal JAC welcomes the obligatory and gesture of our MP Limboo
Gangtok, 24 Sept:
The Sikkim Limboo-Tamang Tribal Joint Action Committee (JAC) welcomes the obligatory and considerate gesture of MP, Indra Hang Limboo, Lok Sabha by raising the voice demanding for Scheduled Tribe seat reservation of Limboo and Tamang communities in the Sikkim State Legislative Assembly, deprivation of which is continuous since 2003.
It is very unjust and unfortunate that Limboo-Tamang communities are being deprived from the enjoyment of our lawfully accorded constitutional rights over 18 years now, mentions one of the members of JAC. However, the MP Limboo voicing their long pending demand of seat reservation, in the Parliament on 21 Sept, 2020 has strongly added to their hope.
Furthering the act of lawful discharge of obligation by MP by bringing the matter into cognizance of the Parliament House, JAC request the state government for the bonafide action in discharge of the responsibility on their part as early as possible. JAC also request the government to consider the saying of the stakeholders of an interest in the course of such action towards conferment of right of seat reservation for the Limboo and Tamang communities of Sikkim
