ASSCWA PAYS TRIBUTE TO FRONTLINE WORKERS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES

All Sikkim Scheduled Caste Welfare Association organized a tribute programme today for three frontliner COVID warriors who have lost their life in the fight against COVID-19.

The program was held at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Gangtok. The front line warriors who have lost their lives are Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Basanti Sundas, health worker, AB Biswakarma, and Dil Bahadur Rai from Sikkim Police.

The event was attended by Assembly Speaker LB Das, Forest Minister Karma Loday Bhutia and Health Minister MK Sharma.

The family members of the victims were honored on behalf of the All Sikkim Scheduled Caste Welfare Association.

Shekhar Sewa, president of the organization, said that those who lost their lives should be given the title of martyr and one of the family members of the martyrs should be given a government job.

He also said that a statue should be made in the state of those who lost their lives in the battle against COVID-19.
