Capacity Building of Master Trainers on Food, Nutrition, Health and WASH Intervention to Self Help G

A four day Capacity Building on Food, Nutrition, Health and Wash for Master trainers was held at Janta Bhawan, Gangtok, Sikkim from 06 to 09 Nov, 2020. The program was organized by the Sikkim Rural Livelihood Mission, Rural Development Department. The National Resource Organisation (NRO) on FNHW, the Bihar SRLM provided required inputs to the master trainers both theoretically and practically on all these four days. The program was inaugurated by the Commissioner/RDD and the State Mission Director, Dr P Senthil Kumar, Sikkim Rural Livelihood Mission and addressed the participants and set the context and agenda for the trainings. On the Concluding day, He also set the targets for each of the blocks to roll out the FNHW intervention among the SHGs throughout the state in all Blocks. The program was attended by more than 50 participants consisting of Block Project Managers, APMs, Project Managers and DPMs from State Mission Management Unit, Jt. CEO/SRLM and Asst. CEO/SRLM. The NRO team lead by Vishwa Vijay, Bihar SRLM also visited the Perbing village of Ranka block on 06 Nov, 2020 along with Sikkim SRLM team to have a field understanding about the FNHW status in Sikkim and interacted again on 10 Nov, 2020 with the East Dist SHGs. The National Resource Organization on FNHW appreciated the SHGs community initiatives and SRLM efforts in the state of Sikkim and wish to show case some of the FNHW intervention at National Level and provide exposure to other state as well. In the concluding day the NRO discussed with P. Senthil Kumar, State Mission Director, Sikkim SRLM and finalised on the future course of action on FNHW by NRO in Sikkim. The whole training was coordinated and conducted by the Social Inclusion Division of Sikkim Rural livelihood Mission lead by the Dy Project Manager Ms Archana. The program was concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. Bedna, Project Manager, Livelihood Division of SRLM.
