SKM concludes state-wide series of youth coordination meetings GOVT TO LAUNCH STATE YOUTH POLICY SOO

Sikkim KrantikariMorcha (SKM) youth coordination meeting was held at Sribadamschool ground under Rinchenpong Constituency, West Sikkim today. It was the final in a series of youth coordination meetings which had started from 09 Oct from West Pendam Constituency, East District.
Today’s youth coordination meeting was held for three constituencies; Gyalshing-Bermiok, Rinchenpong and Maneybong-Dentamconstituencies of West Sikkim.
The final youth coordination meeting held at Sribadam was attended by HRD Minister, KungaNima Lepcha, Health Minister, Dr. M. K. Sharma, UDHD Minister,ArunUpreti, Agriculture Minister, L. N. Sharma, Transport Minister,SanjitKharel, Soreng-Chakhung MLA,AdityaGolay, State youth wing president,LakpaMoktan, PHE Chairperson, Hari Narayan Subedi, Additional Political Secretaries, TsheringWangchuk Lepcha and Madhu Sudan Sharma, Contractors Cell Chairperson, N. B. Dahal, State Youth wing general secretary, PujanRai, other party functionaries and large number of party supporters.
Newly inducted SKM ward and block level committees were welcomed at the event by the dignitaries. Youth from different constituencies accused SDF of using youth while the SKM Government is providing utmost importance to the youth.
Agriculture and IPR Minister,LokNath Sharma said that the SKM Government has done a lot of work in a short span of time. The SKM Government has been successful in increasing the price of milk with Rs8 per litre incentive for dairy farmers.
He informed about subsidized loans and financial incentives for the welfare of farmers and youth in the state under the SKM Government. He encouraged youth to take up entrepreneurship and innovation in the agriculture sector.
Transport Minister,SanjitKharel who is also the State youth vice president in-charge of SKM said that the youth must be responsible and use the opportunities provided to redevelop the state. He informed that the SKM Government will soon launch the State Youth Policy for the welfare of the youth.
State Health Minister, Dr. MK Sharma, in his address said, assured to provide free COVID-19 vaccine to the people of Sikkim once it is available.
UD&HD Minister, ArunUpreti informed about the positive response from the centre regarding various demands of the state placed by the CM in his recent visit toDelhi.
Chief guest of the event, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister,KungaNima Lepcha said that Yuva Shakti (youth power) is the one of the forces which helped SKM to form the government in Sikkim.
When SKM took charge of the government there were hardly any funds left but the CM has turned things around, he said.
"We must come together to re-develop the state under the able leadership of Chief Minister P. S. Tamang. Now our mission is to make Sikkim a self-reliant state,” said Mr Lepcha.
He highlighted the various initiatives of SKM Government and accused the previous SDF government of ruining the state in its 25-year rule.
West Sikkim will be an education hub in the near future as the SKM Government is focusing on developing the district as an Education hub, he added.
Speaking to media persons, State Youth wing general secretary, PujanRai informed that the aim of organising the youth coordination meetings across the state is to keep the youth motivated and connected with the party and also to make them familiar with the party's ideology and principles.
