BJP’s new Sikkim in-charge arrives, calls CM discusses ways to make SKM-BJP alliance stronger

Rangpo, 22 Nov:

Professor Sukant Mazumdar, recently appointed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Sikkim State In-charge, arrived in the state today and was received at Rangpo by the Sikkim-BJP president, DB Chauhan, and other office bearers of the party.

Prof Mazumdar is also the Lok Sabha MP from Balurghat constituency of West Bengal.

While speaking to this correspondent, Prof Mazumdar informed that his visit was primarily to understand how BJP’organisational power can be made stronger in Sikkim and how the party could work more on addressing the problems and aspirations of the people here.

Later in the evening, Prof Mazumdar called on Chief Minister PS Tamang at his official residence, Mintokgang, in Gangtok, a BJP press release informs.

During the meeting, which discussed political and other issues of mutual interest, deliberations were also held on how the SKM-BJP alliance in the State could be made stronger.

As for the upcoming elections in West Bengal, he exuded confidence that BJP will sweep into office with more than 200 seats there.
