Amar Subba leads students to Stadium Run, aims to run 200 KMs in 24 hrs

A seven-member team of Amarathon Academy of Sikkim [AMAS] led by Marathon Man, Amar Subba, is all set to participate in India Open 24 Hours Delhi Stadium Run to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi.

The team is scheduled to leave on Thursday for the event being organized by NEB Sports in collaboration with Athletic Federation of India and International Association of Ultrarunners.

Amar Subba is participating in 24 hours stadium run to be held from 8:30 AM of 04 December to 8:30 PM of 05 December, while all six of his students will compete in the 12-hour stadium run from 8:30 PM of 04 December till 8:30 AM of 05 December.

Mr Subba is being joined by Shiva Hang Limboo, Buddha Singh Limboo, Dhan Kumar Mangar, Pritam Rai, Jatin Chettri and Phurba Tamang.

Speaking to media persons here this afternoon, Mr Subba informed that the team has competed rigorous training.

“I have set a target to break the existing record of 160 KMs in 24 hours by covering at least 200 KMs,” he said.

He added that all his six runners were in great form.
