Amit Shah to inaugurate Indian Dairy Cooperative Conclave in Gangtok

New Delhi, 24 Aug:

Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Amit Shah, will inaugurate the Indian Dairy Cooperative Conclave scheduled to be held in Gangtok in Nov/December, an official press release informs.

National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India (NCDFI) chairperson, Mangal Jit Rai, is reported to have extended the invitation to Mr Shah at a meeting in New Delhi and received a positive response.

Mr Rai states that the conclave is being organised on the theme, “Resilient Indian Dairy Cooperatives - Exploring the Challenges and Opportunities,” to discuss various trends in the dairy cooperatives sector and chalk out future strategic policy direction.

The conclave will be attended by as many as 2,000 delegates representing various segments of the dairy cooperative sector, international organizations like Food and Agriculture Organizations of United Nation (FAO), ILO, Central and state governments, and para-statal organisations involved in dairy cooperative development.
