Bikey Mangar is Mr Sikkim 2022, Roshan Giri Open Men’s Physique champ

Bikey Mangar lifted the title of Mr Sikkim 2022 and Roshan Giri emerged as the champion of Open Men’s Physique 2022 during the 21st Mr Sikkim & 4th Open Men’s Physique Championship 2022 held here at Manan Kendra on Sunday evening.

The event was organised by Sikkim State Body Building Association [SSBBA]. Minister RDD, Sonam Lama was present as the chief guest among other dignitaries.

21-year-old Bikey Manger is from Shyari, Gangtok, while Roshan Giri is from Chota Singtam, Ranipool. More than 30 athletes from different parts of the State had participated in the body building competition, out of which twenty bodybuilders competed for the title of Mr Sikkim in the final round.

Meanwhile 20 participants qualified for the final round of Open Men’s Physique among 50 participants from Sikkim and neighbouring hills.

Speaking to media persons, SSBBA general secretary, Arun Gurung said the competition was an annual event of the association to provide platform and opportunities to athletes to compete after sweating hard throughout the year.

He mentioned that the event has been successful in bringing out national and international athletes from Sikkim. He stated that another aim of the competition was to encourage and motivate youths towards sports and healthy activities to make a healthy society in the State.
