BJP holds NHVC training in Rinchenpong

Under the BJP National Health Volunteers Campaign (NHVC), a training workshop was organised for the village level volunteers at Khanisherbung under Rinchenpong Constituency, a press release informs.

State BJP president, DB Chauhan, State BJP secretary, Laten Sherpa, NHVC state coordinator, Bhupendra Giri, IT coordinator, IK Rasaily, District general secretary, Bhaichung Rai, Mandal president and other dignitaries were present during the training. The session was attended by village level volunteers from the constituency.

Addressing the workshop, Bhupendra Giri apprised about various initiatives taken by the Modi government to combat COVID crisis in the country and stressed on the need for all volunteers to be ready to fight against a possible third wave.

He briefed the trainees on the use of medical tools such as thermometers, thermal scanners and oximeters. He also shared information on precautionary home remedies and vaccinations.

Similarly, Mr. IK Rasaily gave a detailed presentation on the objectives of the campaign and the responsibilities of the volunteers.

Addressing the session, State president, DB Chauhan encouraged the trainees and stressed that all the volunteers should be dedicated to the service of their respective villages and communities after the training.

BJP Sikkim has enrolled more than 1150 volunteers till now and will achieve the target of 1251 volunteers by the end of the day, he added. The session was also addressed Laten Sherpa and Bhaichung Rai.

A similar training workshop was held today at Okharey GPU under Daramdin Constituency which was attended by more than 40 volunteers from around Okharey GPU.
