CM inaugurates SKM office in North Sikkim

MANGAN, 07 Jan: Chief Minister and Sikkim Krantikari Morcha president, PS Tamang inaugurated an SKM office for Lachen-Mangan constituency at Pakshep Kazor ward under Singhik Sentam GPU of North Sikkim today. He was accompanied by Chairman Teesta Urja, Gyanden Lachungoa, four
BJP MLAs, few cabinet Ministers, Chairpersons, Secretaries, HODs of different departments, SKM
senior party workers and general public. In his address, the CM informed that the state government has
sanctioned Rs. 70 crore for improvement of water supply and work on it will start very soon. Monks will be provided GCI sheets, house upgradation schemes while economically weak families will be provided Government jobs in a phase wise manner, he said. Tender process for Rs 50 crore project for upgradation of North Sikkim highway road upto Tashi view point has been completed, informed
the CM further adding that several other projects are in the pipeline to develop tourism in North Sikkim.
Earlier, the welcome address was given by Arjun Bista followed by Reyoung Lepcha and other
party executives. The program then witnessed Chyabrung dance, offering of khadas and lighting
of lamp. On the occasion the house owner and Organizing committee members offered letter of appreciation and token of love to the CM.
