CM Tamang meets Union Minister, Parshottam Rupala

The Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang called on the Union Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries,ParshottamRupala in New Delhi on 31 Aug, 2021. He extended his congratulations to the Union Minister for his elevation to the Cabinet rank in the Union government and conveyed the best wishes for his new endeavour. The Chief Minister informed about the dairy and piggery incentives provided by the state government and briefed the Union Minister regarding its features. He also mentioned that the state government is looking forward to commencing with similar incentives in poultry and fisheries as well. Speaking about the various pending proposals and matters, he requested the Union Minister for his intervention in releasing the funds for implementing the schemes within the financial year. These include the proposal for poultry farming, various schemes and proposals of the National Livelihood Mission and others. Further, he also mentioned the additional proposals submitted to the Ministry for consideration. The Chief Minister also addressed the proposals submitted by the Directorate of Fisheries, Government of Sikkim for promoting fisheries under Prime Minister MatsayaSampadaYojana (PMMSY) and sought the consideration of the Union Minister. The Union Minister has assured to look into the matter and continue to assist the state.
