Commercial Taxes Dept launches e-Suvidha Kendra

The Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Sikkim, launched a Help Desk/ e-Suvidha Kendra today at Commercial Taxes head office Gangtok. The Help desk was inaugurated by Revenue Secretary of Finance Department, CL Sharma.

The help desk is meant for GST registered tax payers of Sikkim who find it difficult to file their monthly GST returns.

They can also solve interest penalty related problems by consulting the Help desk officers, informed Commissioner, Commercial Taxes Division, Finance Department, Jigmee Dorji Bhutia.

He informed similar Help Desks will shortly open in South and West districts as well.

Revenue Secretary of Finance Department CL Sharma informed that they are also ready with a new Incentive Scheme on lottery basis for voluntary declaration on Tax Invoice. This scheme shall cover transactions within Sikkim for those who have a tax invoice value of a minimum of Rs 10,000 and maximum of Rs 1,50,000.

To claim this incentive, all invoices need to be declared in the Invoice Declaration System on www.sikkimtax.gov.in. After the invoices are declared a verification mail will be sent to the registered e-mail ID. The buyer needs to verify within 15 days or before the last day of the month, whichever is earlier, to qualify for the draw, informed CL Sharma. This incentive scheme will start from October 2021, he added.
